After 18 years serving the Victoria birthing community, Access Midwifery has permanently closed its doors, effective September 30, 2023. We have been honoured to support thousands of diverse families over this time, to work with dedicated perinatal colleagues, and to ensure accessible care to our clients. Thank you for allowing us to share in your journeys to parenthood since 2005.
Our founders – Heather Wood and Lorna McRae – have both retired from clinical practice. Most of the other midwives recently working at Access Midwifery will continue to practice midwifery in Victoria.
